David Smith, MBA
David W. Smith, MBA, previously served as Managing Director for EducationUSA Global Services at the Institute of International Education, where he managed a network of 400 offices around the world to execute the US Department of State’s effort to attract international students to the US. With a 20-year history of success in higher education program management, Smith’s experience includes leadership positions at three major universities with responsibility for recruiting, admissions and student services. Smith achieved a solid record of results in program management and developing and managing multimillion-dollar budgets. Smith served as Associate Dean for Enrollment and Student Affairs, Emory University School of Nursing, and led a revision of recruiting and admissions strategy and processes, resulting increase in applications from 400 to over 2,500 with no increase in budget or staff.

From 2013-2018, Dr. Kurle served as senior management with the OSU Global Gateway India and Senior Program Officer with Columbia University Global Center. Dr. Kurle also served as Senior Agents Trainer for Southeast Asia, building the regional recruitment function for a UK-based private business school, and currently counsels clients and implements strategies for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment markets in India.
